20% of our revenue to the gorillas

Every item sold supports local conservation efforts and livelihoods — protecting both the forest, the gorillas and the local communities connected to it. Our donation goes through trusted conservationist Dr. Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka and her team.

The gorillas

The mountain gorilla in East Africa (DRC, Rwanda and Uganda) is declared as endangered specie by WWF. Total number left: 1.000. Controlled tourism in the 3 countries is helping funding important conservation and protection of the gorillas.

The batwa people

The original pygmies who lived in the forest with the gorillas. To protect the mountain gorillas and their habitat, the government declared the area as protected. This decision resulted in the forced eviction of the Batwas from the only home they had ever known.
